Weanlings & Yearlings

Although we raise horses, we usually have a variety of horses of all ages that we have taken in on trade or purchased. Working Cow Horses is what our horse program is all about, but we occasionally will have horses bred for other purposes on hand.

Several of our best ranch horses have wound up as full-time trail horses. After a life of brush popping and arena work, the horses find very few surprises on a trail ride.

We also have a few Spotted Saddle Horses and a Walking Horse or two at present.

Truth is; we love them all.

Many of our foals sell at weaning and if you see something you like, contact us early and we are glad to hold them for a pre-arranged amount of time.

Smokin Waspy

2009 APHA

Smokin Waspy is bred for the serious cowboy or cowgirl.  With Hlf Smokin Ace for a sire and Tennessee Waspy Bear for a dam, she is full of cow.  Of course, just halter broke at present, she has been great to work with.  This APHA solid filly foaled on April 23, 2009.

Iron Mike

2009 APHA

Iron Mike foaled on April 29, 2009 and is an APHA solid.  He is by TP King Bear and Mx's Charmin Attitude and is a charmer.  Of course he is just halter broke at present but is a pleasure to work with.  He is named after Iron Mike of USMC Parris Island fame.  All Marines know the history of Iron Mike.  I believe this colt will make them proud.

General Chesty Puller

2009 APHA

General Chesty Puller foaled on May 30, 2009.  This colt, like his namesake is a leader.  He is by one of our best cutting bred stallions HLF Smokin Ace and out of Bright Sham, two of our best horses.  This colt is halter broke and is starting advanced ground work.  Being named after a true legend, a Marine's Marine, he has a lot to live up to.

Ira Hayes

2009 APHA

Ira Hayes is bred to cut.  At this writing he has been halter broke and received some ground work.  He was named after the legendary Marine and Pima Indian who helped raised the flag over Iwo Jima.  A good prospect for someone looking for an athlete.
